Recently I joined a FB group a friend of mine made called “Bridge Post”. It’s a page for philosophical, thought provoking post. I wrote something to post, and sent it to my friend just for a second opinion. He butchered it. I mean the general premise was still there but not a single one of MY words made it to the page that day. So here’s my first and probably last “Bridge Post”.
“It has been said that “Others thought of
you are really none of your business.” The same goes for feelings. Whether good
or bad what people feel is on them. A lot of people have trouble understanding
this I think. IF you love someone that person doesn’t OWE you anything, whether
you’re in a relationship with them or if it’s unrequited, your feelings are
your own deal with them. Same goes for someone loving you. You don’t need to
love them back! If you do that’s amazing real love is hard to find. But if you
don’t then, as mean as this sounds, don’t even think about it. It has nothing
to do with you. That person needs to get past it, and if you don’t acknowledge
it there’s nothing for them to hang on too. I could go on and on about this but
I won’t, so take it or leave it.”
My words may be harsh but sometimes you
need to be to open someone’s eyes. I want my thoughts and words to be heard not my ideas with another's input. This incident was the main reason I started this blog.
