I tell my husband ALL the time how excited I am to spend the rest of my life with him. This weekend though we finalized a lot of big decisions we'd been flip-flopping on. For me the hardest part is always making the decisions, I 'll go back and forth forever with the yes no maybe I don't knows. That one reason I am glad I have such a strong husband, he gives me the answers when I can't help myself.
This next year will be a HUGE one for us! I don't really want to spill all the beans yet but basically anything that could change in a family is going to change. I honestly can't even begin to describe how excited am I to just live the next five years of my life.
It's going to be hard and crazy and very fast and probably really stupid in anyone elses eyes, but to me, we are about to start the greatest part of this whole marriage/grown up game. Hubby and I were up WAY past our bed time last night discussing everything and made up our minds. This morning I had a little break down and changed one thing but we both like it better the new way though.
Honestly the weight that has been taken from our chests is tangible. Our moods and mental outlooks have skyrocketed, today has been such a great day just being together as a family preparing for our future. Everyone is napping at the moment and I am just basking in the deep breaths I haven't been able to enjoy in a long long time.
I have so much to do; craigslist-ing, budgeting, planning, and lists of near future big purchases.... GAHHH I can't wait to get started!!! Spring time CANNOT get here soon enough!!!!

Exception
I am a realist always was always have been. Even as a child I knew what was "real" and what "wasn't". I knew the fairy tale weren't real and there was no such thing as Prince charming. I was never a romantic, I'd take a burger over flowers any day of the week. Never in a million years would I have EVER thought I would be part of the "Exception" population.
Hubby and I met at a bar(I know right?), we then got so drunk we didn't remember each others names the next day(I can't even believe I did that). The next day he got a mutual friend to ask my Mom for my number, and we started texting. About 3 days later I put him on the spot and asked him when he was going to man up and ask me out on a date. So he did, our first date was on November 3rd 2010(our anniversary for those of you who pay attention). From that point on we were inseparable. We saw each other every day and found all the time we could to be together. I became his Girlfriend December 17th and by Christmas I knew.
He asked me to marry him for the first time in the end of January. I said yes but I thought he was joking, I looked up at him and saw the seriousness in his eyes behind his smile. We moved away together in February, by the end of May we were really engaged and pregnant. We were married on November 5th 2011, we were 22. We had a whirlwind courtship and the past two years being married to him have been the absolute best in my life. We are soul mates and best friends. I cannot begin to explain the depth of my love for him.
We are the exception.
We know how luck we are to have the kind of love that we do. We make it work on hard days, and on easy days it's pure bliss. We are blessed and proud of what we've made together, but we are also very strong strong advocates of "DON'T DO IT". Whenever people ask our advice or opinion those are the first words out of our mouths. We ALWAYS did things our own way to make "us" work. It was really hard at times but we are better for it now. If we could go back and space things out a bit more and still end up with our amazing little girl, we would. To others we always suggest more time, cause once it's gone you can never get it back.
About the time of our wedding I found out that the night we met Hubby told the friends he was out with as they carried him home, that he was "going on marry that girl someday." Who would have ever guessed he was right.

Grace
First let me start with, I LOVE MY HUSBAND honestly more than anything except our daughter, he is the best parts of my life.
Secondly, I have changed a lot in the past few years and am trying to better myself every day.
Thirdly, I read a blog my sister shared about how the most important thing missing in most marriages these days is Grace. Which is what really got me thinking about all this.
My hubby has really stepped up these past few weeks. I went back to work and was suddenly pulling 12-13 hour days and EVERY night I got home to a hot dinner and some clean dishes. How amazing is he right?!?!?! I was praising him to the women at work Friday, saying how great he has been, and all the shoulder massages I've been getting. He's just great! A few dialogs later I mention I had a sink full of dishes waiting for me for this weekend. The one woman looks at me and says "I thought your Husband was doing the dishes?"
I replied, "Well yes but he doesn't really like doing them so he only really washes what he needs for that night."
Both woman immediately go off on tangents about how that would p**s them off and that s**t wouldn't fly in my house ect ect ect.
I just shake my head and say " at least he's trying I'm not gonna complain." Which to them was not satisfactory and they continued on their ways. Again I kept my mouths shut and just wondered at what kind of home life these women had.
Like I said earlier I haven't always been so nice even a year ago I probably would have agreed with them "If you're not going to do something right and all the way then don't bother.". My hubby can attest to that! I am not sure if I hit a new maturity level, I just got tired of fighting, or if I was touched by the grace of GOD but one day I realized how cruel and selfish and petty that mentality was. Someone is trying to help you and you're going to tell them they're doing it wrong!! B***H!!!
I am very humble about my faith, I read my bible, I pray constantly, and my relationship with GOD is my business no one elses. These women go to church, have their pastors/priests over for dinner, go on trips, the whole nine. While that is all fine and dandy I feel like if you don't exude the ways and teachings in all parts of your life, all the dues and communions aren't going to get you anywhere. Even I as a "rookie" believer can name handfuls of passages that praise humility and compassion.
I don't go around shouting about I found Jesus and this will probably be the most "religious" post I ever write, but honestly how can someone spend hours a week and 20% of their yearly earning and not walk away with more than I have reading alone in bed at night... I still believe if you're going to do something you should do it properly. There is nothing proper about tearing down your husband, in front of a stranger no less.
http://refineus.org/one-missing-ingredient/ This was the blog my sister shared, if I could, without getting in trouble, I'd print it out and take to work with me! As I can't I'll just share it with you all. I have since started following this couple and I like what I've seen so far.
